To help us learn how to safely preserve foods, ISU Extension and Outreach is hosting a hands-on pressure canning workshop on August 6, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 610 3rd Street SW in State Center. This class provides a step-by-step format that focuses on the key information we need to know to get started preserving food with a pressure canner at home. This is a 4-hour workshop, starting at 12:30 pm, and the registration fee is $10. Partial registration is sponsored by the Gutekunst Public Library. Space is limited, so register early!
