Autumn means cool weather and the season of socks and scarves. Have you been playing with yarn for years, or are you interested in learning how to knit or crochet? Have you started a project, and you can’t remember what to do next? Or, are you just looking for a cozy place to spend a Saturday morning? Join our cold-weather Knitting Circle! It’s not just for knitters! We will meet at the library once a month for a couple of hours. If you are an experienced knitter or crochet master, bring a project and join other yarn enthusiasts. If you have always wanted to learn, but feel like you are all thumbs, come with your questions and knots!

At Home in the Heartland Bus-eum Visit Oct 02, 2015 from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM Gutekunst Public Library,
TRACES Center for History and Culture will be bringing its mobile exhibit, “At Home in the Heartland, “ housed in a bus-eum, to State Center, as part of its 99 county tour. The bus will be parked at the Gutekunst Public Library from 9am to noon. The exhibit includes programs such as a family-history-focused workshop “Grindin’ Ol’ Bones;” a school program “Tappin’ Young Blood”, and a public forum “Growin’ Forward,” with intergenerational dialogue. All programs are FREE and open to the public.
